Gail’s real estate career on Block Island began in 1983 with Cindy Pappas at Sullivan Real Estate and has continued over three decades. The office has changed (it’s now Sullivan Sotheby’s International Realty), but what hasn’t changed is Gail’s commitment to her clients and customers. She is adept at listening and understanding her customers’ needs and dreams. With her long experience and knowledge of the island market, she has the ability to help find the right home or property, even if it takes years. Meeting people and guiding them towards the perfect vacation rental or purchase is a job that she thoroughly enjoys. Gail is a Massachusetts native, having lived in Arlington and Amherst areas until 1978. She moved to Block Island in 1979 after marrying Denny, and together they raised Denny’s three children and Gail’s two – fondly referred to as “the Block Island Brady Bunch!” They are now the proud “Nana” and “Pop Pop” to 10 wonderful grandchildren. Gail has always been involved in island life, serving as a board, committee member or volunteer for various groups. Currently, she serves on the Block Island Recreation Board, the Board of Assessment Review and the St. Andrew’s Catholic Ladies Guild. Besides working, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, playing tennis, biking, gardening and going to the beach.
